The Future of LFCDG is in Jeopardy!
The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides is where our 2 boys received their Autism Assistance Dog Guides. We are so grateful for the life-changing gift these two dogs have been, as have both made a huge difference in the day to day life of our boys.
Over the past year, LFCDG has been building a brand new state of the art facility in Oakville, Ontario so that they can house and train even more Service Dogs, which are provided free of cost to Canadians living with disabilities.
Unfortunately, they have had to pause construction on their new training school mid-build because of an unexpected $20 million shortfall. Without urgent action, construction could be permanently halted, and their capacity to operate their training program could be lost.
They have called on the public for assistance to urgently raise $5 million in order to get construction started again, and to secure the future of their 7 Dog Guide programs, and meet the growing demand from Canadians waiting for a life-changing Dog Guide.
Every contribution, large or small, will bring them closer to opening the doors of this world-class facility, which offers Canadians living with disabilities greater independence, safety, and support.
